Buddy Knox Australia's answer to BB King

Teangi Knox

Biography

Buddy's son Teangi is a walking/talking encyclopaedia of 'da blues', whichTeangi Knox Photo by Colleen is a little unusual in the culture of today's younger muso.

Heavily influenced by his Father's passion for the blues, he plays his 1971 L5S cherry sunburst Gibson, like the old blues men.

Always interested in music, Teangi formed his own Band whilst still at school, and he plays guitar, bass and drums and sings lead vocals.

In 2006, Teangi played bass for 'The Warumpi Band' at the 2006 Dreaming Festival, learning their repertoire in just three days, when their regular bass player could not make it.

He sings a tune or two himself!, at Buddy's shows, a great version of 'Don't Stagger Lee, but has a deep passion for the blues like his father Buddy.

Teangi could not have become anything other than a real musical talent, with the genes he has inherited from both sides of his family tree, and by absorbing the music he has witnessed with his family. Teangi Knox photo by Colleen

When he is not playing with Buddy, he heads up his own Band, 'T. Wolf and Knoxes', and  he has already recorded some of his own originals songs.

Teangi has the DNA to make him a star like those before him.
